Grade and Level Labels Are Approximate
Labels such as “grade 2” or “early reader” reflect a rough conventional expectation, not a standardised placement or an assessment of any child. Children work at different levels across different subjects, and children learning at home often do not map onto grade bands at all. Choose materials by what a learner can actually do.
Supervision, Supplies, and Printing
Activities involving scissors, craft knives, glue, paint, laminators, small manipulatives, or heat require adult supervision appropriate to the child’s age. Follow the safety instructions supplied with any tool or material. Printed colours, scale, and margins vary between printers — check that a printable came out at the intended size before using it for anything measurement-based.
